      When I joined Asian Tech 6 months ago, it was a small start up company. I believed in Hoang’s company vision and wanted to be part of a rapidly growing, dynamic environment.

      I remember the days when Hoang used to work from his own home in the morning and come to the office in the afternoon.

      I remember one time we had a project deadline that we thought we were not going to make, so the whole team had to stay late in the office many days in a row. It was a great bonding experience for us!

    • What are your best skills?

      In addition to programming, my skills include my Japanese, teamwork and logical thinking. I also pride myself in being a fast learner and bringing fresh ideas to the table.


    • How do your foreign experiences affect your working style?

      I had many, many part-time jobs during my studies in Japan - from delivering papers and conducting park tour guides to dressing up in theme parks and cooking/waiting in Japanese restaurants. These experiences are incredibly valuable to me now. They empowered me physically and mentally, they gave me the courage to speak clearly and energetically in Japanese as well as experience Japanese culture first-hand. My best skills are climbing stairs quickly and washing the dishes! My foreign experiences don't affect my working style - they created it.


    • Why did you join Asian Tech?

      I worked with Hoang at a Japanese company when we both lived in Japan. I was inspired by his ambition to create what he believed would not only be the most successful company in Vietnam but also be a huge contender in the global IT market.


    • What's your best memory at Asian Tech so far?

      At the first team-building event, we all chatted for hours on end about work and family. It was the first time we all bonded as fellow colleagues outside of the office and helped to bring us closer as a team.

      My greatest skill is that I rarely get food poisoning. I love to sample local food from many different countries and challenge things I have never tried before.

      I was a manager for a small freelance team, working with clients who come from Europe and the US. My responsibilities included discussing with them regarding requirements and explaing them to my team members.


    • How do your foreign experiences affect your working style?

      I think I have gained a lot of experience from my work with foreigners, especially to understand how to create the UI / UX and how to make the software adapt to high-quality products.

    • What is your biggest passion in life?

      I'm not sure what is my one biggest passion because I have so much ambition and desire to succeed.

      I love company team building events like the “Amazing Race”, where I had to walk about 12 kilometers to the Son Tra mountain: a real challenge I cannot forget.

      I worked for FPT software company for 1 year after 8 years of study in Japan.


    • How does your experience living and working in Japan affect your working style in Vietnam?

      When I came back to Vietnam after 8 years studying in Japan, I was a little shocked by the difference between the lifestyles of Japan and Vietnam. I experinced the Japanese's hard-working and serious attitude at work when I lived in Japan, and this influences my working style in Vietnam.

    • What do you enjoy most about working at Asian Tech?

      I think Asian Tech is a dynamic environment for self growth. In that environment I can use my Japanese to help other members in communication and contribute towards the success of projects.

    • What did you do before Asian Tech?

      I have spent 15 years working in several international software companies in Ho Chi Minh City (Global CyberSoft, CSC, Aricent). My career experience grew from a software engineer at the beginning to a senior engineering manager in my previous company, playing the role of Delivery Manager in charge of all projects' delivery for the Vietnamese branch.


    • How do your foreign experiences affect your working style?

      Apart from academic study in university, I have learnt a lot from actual experience in foreign companies, even at offshore offices in Vietnam or onshore business trip to client sites in America or the UK. I have gained all working skills and enriched my personality through good mentors, co-workers, and of course managers.

    • What is your biggest passion in life?

      Working with people.

      After 5 years, I aim to be the manager of over 100 people!

      There's a good balance between the management team and all the employees so I feel really comfortable working here.

    • What's your best achievement in life?

      The big mobile app project that my team and I developed for NTT, now available on AppStore and Playstore. This project was a new challenge for me - first time working with Japanese software engineers, working under pressure, learning and a lot of experiences during development.


    • How do your friends describe you?

      My friends and coworkers tell me that I am very friendly, funny, caring and ready to help others.


    • Why did you choose to work at Asian Tech?

      Firstly, I can work with Japanese clients who are very strict with their products, so this is a great challenge and a chance to improve my development and management skills. Also, it is a young and dynamic company so I have a lot of chance to express myself. The last reason is that the company has a great vision: to become the leading innovative software service company in Asia, so I’m very excited that I'm a part of the company.


    • Where do you see yourself in 5 years' time?

      I want to be a BA speaking English and Japanese fluently so I’m planning to improve myself for these goals.

    • Why did you choose to work in Vietnam?

      After I graduated, I wanted to work abroad, especially in a developing country. I always enjoyed travelling from a young age and enjoy learning about different cultures.


    • What's your best memory at Asian Tech?

      The moment we released a product - it felt so rewarding because we had all put in our best efforts into completing the project. The celebratory atmosphere in the whole company afterwards was great.


    • How do your friends describe you?

      Many of those close to me think I’m very airy and nonchalant; I’m usually not thinking as much as people would assume.


    • What are the biggest challenges you face everyday?

      During projects, by nobody’s fault, we face delays in our original schedule and hit many problems. I’m always very moved by everyone’s motivation to come together as a team in difficult moments.


    • What do you enjoy most about working at Asian Tech?

      Everyday at Asian Tech is exciting for me as it’s such a fun work environment. I’m always supported by the kindness of the engineers and enjoy speaking to them everyday.

      I was always looking for a dynamic and professional environment. Finally, I found these in Asian Tech.


    • How has the company changed from when you joined in 2014?

      I am the 17th employee in the Asian Tech family, and now the company has about 200 employees. Asian Tech has grown very fast in both quantity and quality.


    • Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

      I hope to be able to speak English fluently and manage an accountant team.
